Eftichia (happiness in Greek) certainly lives up to her name, so cheerful and sunny, always looking on the bright side of life. She is at her happiest whilst creating her delicious handmade, traditional Greek pasta, marmalades, jam and spoon sweets, all lovingly made in her modern, light and airy workshop, Terpnon (pleasant and delightful in Greek), in Corinth.
Eftichia studied political science and economics at Pandion University in Athens and after graduating, made her career in accounting, which she followed for 12 years while living in Athens with her family. Though Eftichia enjoyed her career in accounting, her passion, from young age, was cooking; experimenting with fresh, quality ingredients, exploring traditional Greek cuisine.
When Eftichia’s husband was offered a new job in Corinth, they seized the chance to leave the hustle and bustle of city life in Athens, for the quieter, more rural life in Corinth. Eftichia saw this as an opportunity to realize her dream. She took the risk, putting all her savings into what made her happy, and in 2012 Terpnon was born.
Now, Eftichia spends her days in her successful, modern workshop, creating the most delicious, traditional, handmade Greek pasta, jams, and marmalades, placing emphasis on raw ingredients, only using the purest and freshest, never adding coloring or preservatives.
With much determination and with the trust and knowledge of the excellence of her products, Eftichia sought out quality delicatessens, restaurants and other outlets that would offer her culinary delights to the public, enabling them to share the flavors of happiness.
After much hard work and meraki (a wonderful Greek word, meaning doing something with love and passion), Eftichia is proud to see her products sold in London, France, Germany, Austria, and the U.S.A
What other name could Eftichia have possibly chosen for her venture? Terpnon, Flavors of Happiness, of course!
