Greeks love music, and they love to have fun late into the night. Spending the evening at a nightclub with live music in Athens and other Greek cities is an extraordinary experience. Late into the evening, a band, with a bouzouki or two, mounts the stage to accompany the vocalists. None of them will leave the stage until morning. The night is replete with continuous performances of singers who are constantly changing.
The seating is at tables laden with alcoholic beverages and nuts. The atmosphere is warmer and compelling, and almost without being aware of it, participants will find themselves dancing together on stage.
Note – The law banning smoking in nightclubs is not enforced, so a visit to a nightclub is not recommended to people who wish to avoid cigarette smoke.
