The Dimitriou Bakery is located in the picturesque coastal village of Loutra Oreas Elenis and is a typical family-run Greek business, mainly baking traditional Greek bread.
The Dimitriou Bakery, in its current location, was established in 1991 as a continuation of a long family tradition of baking and running Greek bakeries. In 2000, the bakery was passed on to Evangelia and Maria.
After Marrying Maria, Sotiris learnt the trade of baking bread from his father-in-law. Sotiris roots are in Kozani, Northern Greece, where his family produced saffron from the famous Kozani crocus flower. Sotiris, together with his wife Maria, expanded their baking to include a whole range of sweets, cakes, and cookies, as well as bread, using only the purest of local ingredients.
Sotiris is involved with Greek tourism, promoting traditional Greek food and Greek products; he visits many exhibitions, where he always displays the delicious Dimitriou confections.
