Did you ever have a dream about spending the night in a winery, the heady, pungent aroma of wine, lulling you to sleep, and to awaken to the incredible views of acres upon acres of lush, green vineyards, majestic mountains, peace and serenity? A stay at the unique Semeli Winery is sure to make your dream come true!
The Semeli Winery, founded in 1979, is located at an altitude of 600 meters, in the small, traditional Greek town of Nemea in the Peloponnese, one of the most famous wine regions of Greece.
According to Greek Mythology, here, in Nemea, Hercules killed the famous lion of Nemea, and here, the God Dionysos discovered wine and introduced cultivation of the grapevine to the Greeks, and so, the Semeli Winery takes its name from the mother of Dionysos, Semeli.
This is the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, to admire the breathtaking views and natural, tranquil beauty of the Nemean hills.
Wine tasting sessions, where the excellent quality Semeli wines can be enjoyed, are held in the newly renovated, large, multi-purpose halls, and informative tours of the modern, efficient winery are available, accompanied by experienced, knowledgeable guides.
The Semeli Winery includes 5 deluxe suites (including Jacuzzis) and 3 luxurious rooms; all of five star standards, each with its own separate entrance.
The suites and rooms are situated on the ground floor, beneath the production hall, where the wine is bottled, and above the wine cellar, where all varieties of wine are kept in hundreds of barrels, made from the best French oak.
Wow, what a celebration of the senses!
