Yianna is a young and vigorous lady, who grew up with her sheep-farming family in Ziria, the mountainous area of Corinthia. Yianna produces traditional Greek dairy products, using milk from the sheep she farms.
Since she was a child, her day began at 5:00 in the morning, milking the sheep. Later, her father took the sheep to graze in the surrounding fields, whilst Yianna and her mother began the process of making feta cheese and traditional Greek yogurt, all made with fresh milk from their own sheep. This was Yianana’s day and she loved it, so much so, that when she got married, although her husband had no interest in sheep, Yianna carried on regardless. Now Yianna has a flock of 30 sheep.
Having two young children, Yianna manages to be up by 5:00 in the morning, milks the sheep, takes her children to school, returns to put the sheep out to graze, and starts making feta cheese and yogurt, all with a smile. Yianna adores what she does.
Yianna teaches her children how to live a healthy, traditional Greek lifestyle, eating only the purest of foods. Apart from her sheep, Yianna grows much of her own fruit and vegetables. Yianna is more or less self-sufficient, living the old traditional Greek way. It is rare she shops in a supermarket for food.
She truly is a phenomenon in this day and age!
